Services

I conduct informal speech/language screenings, formal evaluations and provide speech/language services. If your child also receives services in the school setting, I would love to communicate with your child's school speech language pathologist. I firmly believe communication and collaboration with your child's team members are vital in promoting success. It is also a way to generalize speech and language goals in multiple settings.

I am currently private pay but I can provide a superbill that you are able to submit to your insurance if you would like one.

Evaluations

Formal and informal measures will be completed during an evaluation. Formal measures include administration of a standardized assessment. Informal measures include observation, language sampling, parent report, questionnaire etc. I assess to identify articulation disorders, phonological processes, fluency, receptive and expressive language disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication.
Following an assessment, a formal evaluation report will be written. If your child presents with a speech/language impairment, an individualized treatment plan will be formulated to target specific goals for therapy sessions.

Speech and Language Therapy

Articulation/Phonological processes

Childhood Apraxia of Speech

Receptive and Expressive Language

Stuttering/Fluency

Augmentative and Alternative Communication

A variety of effective tools and methods will be used in improving overall speech and language skills. Repetition and modeling are crucial when teaching new skills. Providing a language-rich environment elicits opportunities for expanding receptive and expressive language skills. We will use articulation approaches and/or phonological/language-based approaches for stimulating correct speech sound production. We will work on generalizing and maintaining skills with a focus on self-monitoring and self-correcting errors in multiple settings
